to take a nap. the simple act of shutting down. a powerful and healthy habit.
scientists have found that naps make us more alert and more creative,
improve our mood, and increase our productivity. on recent article, author
Cathleen Schine celebrates the pleasures of daytime sleeping. I must confess that
I am far away from indulging myself into such a treat. lately I've been trying to
find time to sleep at night. what about you? are you a napper?

If I could I would! I love napping, but it's only a treat for me.
ReplyDeleteI love naps! If it nap for an hour or two I am good to go. Don't even have to sleep at night. I feel great.
ReplyDeleteI have the following napping problem. Instead of taking healthy 20min naps, I get changed into my pjs, pull the blinds down and wake up 2 hours later, completely unsettled and thinking that I'm late for work. Not cool.
ReplyDeleteI definitely appreciate a well-timed nap.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be a napper, but unfortunately I only indulge in the daytime sleep when I'm sick. Maybe someday when the kids are all in school I will set aside an hour each day to nap!
ReplyDeleteonce and awhile I'll take a nap with my lil one. I close all the curtains and the doors, so as not to let any light in my room, then we crash out for an hour on my fluffy, cold bed.. I have to say this is definitely one of my guilty pleasures.
ReplyDeleteI am a total napper, but never have time! It should be built into our work days!!

Sounds like bliss!!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could!!! I thoroughly enjoyed takign "siesta" while in Spain and Italy . . . we need to adopt that lifestyle here in America instead of working so crazy:-) Just sayin!
ReplyDeleteGreat post dear, I missed your blog!!!
me! me me!! pick me! i want a nap! right now!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I do nap with my little one, but most days I use that time to run around the house cleaning, cooking, organizing.
ReplyDeleteI have heard it's better to nap for 20 minutes than one hour otherwise you wake up more tired or even if you can close your eyes for 15 minutes its very helpful.
