number #02

little one's birthday is next month.
this weekend I started playing a bit
with images and colors that I want for the party.
I combined three pictures of her and outlined the silhouette.
this layout is the one I like the most.

but I am still wondering about those birdies flying around.
any sweet ideas?

vintage affair

I've always had a crush on ban.do. and I thought it just wasn't possible to like them even more. but the new black label collection is out. and I am out of words. stunned. completely inspired and touched by the beauty of each piece. not only the items are all so romantic and unique but they are also showcased on an amazing photo shoot. talented and gorgeous alison sudol shows off her best and creates magic with the hairbands in her head.

happy e-day!

being green and helping our planet become a cleaner
and healthier place is in reach for each one of us.
small and individual actions are big when counted globally.
at my household we turn off lights, schedule washing cycles,
reuse bags, and try our best on many other small steps.
one of my next goals is to plant a garden.
why do your part? this home is the only one you've got.

Sharon Montrose's work is well known and praised everywhere. and I just never get tired of browsing through her photographs. I am always amazed by her unique style combined with the clean feel of each image. based in LA, Sharon's love for animals and vast work experience translates into divine prints. the incredible animal series showcases an individual spark in every portrait. you can pretty much guess their personalities with her engaging and revealing shoots. discover more of her work on her website and blog. why? earth day is almost here and you can get all these beautiful creatures in your own home to keep on celebrating life with you .

a world to explore.

Maison&Object is a trade show that happens twice yearly. the event is a major destination worldwide. this January 75,000 visitors visited 3,000 exhibitors. the next show this year is schedule for the first week of September 2010. with inspiring designs, upcoming trends and beautifully creative ideas I would love to be a little bird to fly around the fair. the best part: it happens in Paris.

art work

eyelashes made of paper. the traditional art of paper cutting inspired designer Ting yu Wang on creating these alluring and intricate lashes. sold in 5 different designs representing Chinese symbols: horses for success, peonies for happiness and peach blossoms for love. why? add some bling to your beautiful spring.

bee conscious

honey bees are disappearing at an alarming rate for some time now. what most people don't know is that these little bugs are not here just so we can all have sweet honey. we actually depend on them for one-third of our food supply. as usual the best way to help is to get informed and pollinate the idea! read about the crisis, make a donation and get tips on how to plant a garden here.

and bravo to Häagen-Dazs® for raising awareness!
