the last seven days in seattle have been rainy and cold. there are more of those on the forecast.
gray winter days and feeling crazy sleepy from early pregnancy stage can go very well together.
but not in a good way.
I would much rather not feel sick all the time and get to feel cold outside, than to stay warm and drowsy inside.
january is usually when I miss 'home' the most. warm and tropical brazil. and I feel like moving somewhere else - where the sun shines more often. but then the thought of starting life all over again, quite some work and never a good time.
and my question to you all: are you happy where you are?
here's to a weekend of getting my wellies on, breathing some clean air and renewing the spirit.

I'm happy now that i'm inside... When I was outside earlier and it was 10 below zero, not so much...
ReplyDelete"I would much rather not feel sick all the time and get to feel cold outside, than to stay warm and drowsy inside." SAMEEEEEEEEEEEE! I feel ya.
ReplyDeleteI HATE where I am, seriously. I live in Washington D.C and gosh I despise the city sooo much. I've been living here for seven years and last year I was in Montreal (SO great) and now I'm back here and I hate it! I'm Portuguese and my "europeanness" just doesn't seem to fit here! At least not in Washington D.C. I've heard great things bout Seattle though! But yeah, rainy days are a bummer.

Come to Barcelona!
ReplyDeleteIts a bit cold but at least its as sunny as it can be!
(love the hunters though, I might ask for a bit of rain to wear them :)
We are experiencing the same horrid grey days, not crisp cold ones of winter just day after day of drizzle. It is so uninspiring isn't it.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get the chance to get outside this weekend and enjoy some fresh air and then perhaps feel a little less sickly.
xx
In the Uk the weather is rubbish but it is home. My bf is south african and craves the hot weather so we have to go away and find some at least twice a year! Its still not enough though!!

Love these photos. Sorry you're feeling gloomy these days. Especially being pregnant. I do have to say that I am very happy where I am. It's 73 degrees today in So. California. I'll send some rays your way:)
ReplyDeletei'm sorry you aren't feeling the best. those early days can be so rough. i do love where i am (cleveland, ohio), but the winters can be rough. we're lucky if we see the sun once a week, nov-march. but the spring and fall are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you! I'm from Southern CA and being in Tahoe with the cold can definitely catch up to me. And I know this is not the point of this post, but I love your Hunter wellies...definitely want a pair! Hope you come out of your blues soon!
ReplyDelete@ lula: I wouldn't say I hate seattle. I have actually learned to love the city in many ways. but winters are hard for me.
ReplyDeletehope you get to go back to montreal soon ;)
@ all of you sweets: moving to So. CA is definitely a plan - someday. for now I will just keep on dreaming about my next vacation in brazil.
ReplyDeletefeeling better already :)
oh I hear you! I really miss my sunshine and warm weather and so does my son! It is hard to find motivation to go much places in the cold:(
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it isn't fun for you to be feeling ill and being in rainy chilly Seattle. I wish I were in beautiful Uruguay (which is where my mother is from and where I visit my family as much as possible!) but instead i'm in cold Canada and I cannot wait until our winter is over. My mom has lived in Canada for 37 years now and she has never gotten used to the winters and being far away from everyone but she goes home every year. I hope you get to go back home soon. Take care!
