real simple food
January 19, 2011
over the weekend I received my february issue of real simple magazine.
with an article about the 30 healthiest foods and a healthy eating plan for the new year,
I was happy to see that my family eats most of what's on the list. but not as much as I want us to.
so, I stocked my kitchen with veggies, fruits and grains and made up a weekly meal menu.
it's been easier, happier and definitely healthier around the house.

I have been on a real food diet for quite sometime now and it is amazing how much better you feel. I cannot eat some things now because they taste just too sweet and artificial. There is something to be said for a simple meal of roast vegetables and brown rice.
ReplyDeleteLove a good meal plan too.
xx
I love real simple magazine. I'm trying to eat more raw foods too and you definitely feel the difference don't you! Have a great rest of the week!
ReplyDeleteNatasha xo
I love them all and together it looks like the making of an amazing salad. Mushrooms, blueberries, walnuts and edamame yum!
ReplyDeleteI love this post. It just makes me want to eat healthier. Very inspiring.
ReplyDeleteI'm not much of a healthy eater, but I was told that if you eat one food that is the color of each color of the rainbow, you are well on your way...
ReplyDeleteI guess thats a way to add some brussel sprouts in your diet.
Mr. Goodwill Hunting
Ive done the exact same thing at home!
ReplyDeleteAnd after ne week of eating like a rabbit, I have my first appointment to the nutritionist, see If I have lost some weight :) Wish me luck!
Ah, I would be content to eat fresh veggies for the rest of my life, with little else, if that were enough fuel to live by!
ReplyDeleteSo fresh and simple!
ReplyDeleteI am actually about to sit down to a lunch of sushi and edamame! Check that one off my list for today!
My sister always has her fridge stocked with edamame, my nephews love it. I don't eat much of it, as you know not available in Croatia, that I remember but there are plenty of other green veggies and I loveeee blueberries.
ReplyDeletehave a wonderful weekend!
This is great! I'll have to get this issue... I forgot how much I love that magazine.
