so my last ultrasound went great. everything is normal and the baby is healthy. but now sitting down. which makes it hard to be 100% sure of bump's gender.

on my first pregnancy I always knew what it would be. I knew Olivia was coming and even how she looked like. I had no doubts and told everybody I'd seen a little girl running around. her presence came to my life before her tiny body was in mine.

this time around I know it too. but in a silent kind of way. I am quiet and in peace waiting to confirm what's in my heart. I don't think I actually needed the ultrasound - but olivia and her sibling will be sharing a room, so it's nice to be sure and get to play around with a nursery theme.

in the end, my wish is for health. a perfect human being. the most precious gift.

  1. Darling nursery items! I'll continue to look forward to learning what you already know...but a healthy baby is the absolute most important, as you said. Olivia is going to have a wonderful little sibling to share her life with. :)

  3. Congratulations! What an exciting time for you and your family. Oh, I do adore these muted colors you've chosen. I gravitate towards softer colors and tones for baby rooms-so peaceful. Just like baby when sleeping.

  5. when I was pregnant w/emma I saw her in a dream I had, in a photograph! So strange. Dreams are crazy, crazy things.

  6. @hollie: isn't crazy to feel them even before they arrive? I also got to see her in dreams, and woke up with her name in my head.

  8. You know , I didn't find out with my first one, but I knew that he was a boy. I didn't really need the ultrasound for my second one either. I knew it was a girl. Mother's have that instinct. It is true that the most important part is that he or she will arrive safely into your arms:)

    What sweet baby finds too!
