can't quite make my mind on what I like the most about sauvie island collection from kate towers. but these pictures really take my breath away. maybe it's all the black glamour and winter feel of the dresses. maybe the signs of spring shining in the background. or really just me, being mad for wonderful things. see the entire collection

hunting for good days

the last seven days in seattle have been rainy and cold. there are more of those on the forecast.
gray winter days and feeling crazy sleepy from early pregnancy stage can go very well together.
but not in a good way.
I would much rather not feel sick all the time and get to feel cold outside, than to stay warm and drowsy inside.
january is usually when I miss 'home' the most. warm and tropical brazil. and I feel like moving somewhere else - where the sun shines more often. but then the thought of starting life all over again, quite some work and never a good time.

and my question to you all: are you happy where you are?

here's to a weekend of getting my wellies on, breathing some clean air and renewing the spirit.

real simple food

over the weekend I received my february issue of real simple magazine.
with an article about the 30 healthiest foods and a healthy eating plan for the new year,
I was happy to see that my family eats most of what's on the list. but not as much as I want us to.
so, I stocked my kitchen with veggies, fruits and grains and made up a weekly meal menu.
it's been easier, happier and definitely healthier around the house.

golden sunday

between the short and cold winter days and all the sickness from the first trimester,
lately I've been looking forward to enjoy anything that gets my mind out of nausea
state. w magazine stunning spread of last year's best performers brought me one
of this moments. can't wait for golden globes on sunday. happy weekend to you all.

spring palette

pantone fashion color report for spring 2011 comes rather promising and inspiring.
the top 10 colors for women's fashion brings a mix of lively warm tones with interesting cooler shades.
quite exciting to look at such warm trends having inches of snow in my front yard.
I am already dreaming in hues of peapod, beeswax and silver peony.
