what. a. summer !! at the end of it I find myself trying to come up with a million ways to save all the fruit that's been coming to the house lately. I've been making jam, compotes and pies. It's quality time with my girlie in the kitchen plus dessert every night ;) For this one above I used the pretty basic recipe from joyofbaking.com, but was very tempted to try this special one I found over at a cup of jo - will be the next one.
on updates, for the last couple of months: my baby girl turned one, some family came and now they're gone and the kitchen remodel did never really get done. after working so hard on so many pretty sunny days we decided to take a break and enjoy some of the rare northwest sunshine. we'll be around more often now... and checking back on all your lives. missing all the blogging friends, xoxo

DeleteI wish I was as committed to deserts as you are! We're slowly getting yummy things from my husband's customer's gardens and I have made, well, nothing. But you've inspired me, that tart looks so good.
